As many of you may know, Community HealthChoices (CHC) is Pennsylvania's new managed care program for individuals who are dual-eligible for both Medical Assistance (Medicaid) and Medicare. Beneficiaries of Medical Assistance will need to select a new CHC provider to administer their Medical Assistance benefits beginning January 1, 2020. The Geisinger Gold Secure Rx plan will remain in effect and your clients will continue to enjoy all of their benefits, along with our large physician and hospital network. Geisinger Gold will work with all 3 CHC companies to insure there is no disruption in their service.
This change brings some important information for your Geisinger Gold Secure Rx members, as well as your other dual-eligible clients. And remember, your clients do not have to switch their DSNP plan, they can absolutely stay with Geisinger Gold Secure Rx.

As a reminder, to comply with state and federal regulations, an Authorized Representative form must be completed and on file with GHP for any member whose PHI you wish to access. Completing this form and providing it when prompted helps protect our broker partners and our members’ personal information. This rule applies to both commercial and Medicare brokers. The form must be completed and signed by the member, naming you as an Authorized Representative.
The Authorized Representative form is available for download below in both English and Spanish, along with instructions on how to create a digital ID to sign the form electronically.
