West Virginia Medigap Updates
Rate Adjustments:
Annual
premium rate adjustments have been approved and will become
effective July 1, 2019. Going forward, July 1 will be the
renewal date for all Medigap rate adjustments, including those
attributed to age. To view rates, click here.
New Gender Rating for Plans D and G:
We
heard you! Effective July 1, we will also be introducing
gender-rated plans for Medigap Blue Plans D and G. Our new Plan D
and G premium rates were approved with this factor included. As a
result, females may receive a decrease in premium and males may receive
a slight increase.
Members
currently enrolled in a Medigap plan have been notified of these
changes.
Enrollment Kits
and Applications:
Changes
are also being made to our enrollment kits and applications. Please
note that these new materials aren't available to order on ShopPRO
at this time. However, we will notify you once available.
In
the meantime, please continue to utilize the current kits and
applications.
Watch
for additional Medigap updates related to the launch of our new
nurse assistance line and application/underwriting changes in
future communications.
