UPMC Health Plan's premium and ASO fee
payment system is changing


UPMC Health Plan is updating its employer group payment system beginning with the April premiums (medical, dental, vision, stop loss) and ASO fees. The new system will provide a crisp and concise presentation of all billing and payment transaction information. Invoices will continue to be posted on Employer OnLine.

It's easy and convenient to remit payments online. UPMC Health Plan accepts the following forms of online payment:

  • Direct debit from a bank
  • Debit cards
  • Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover)*

Groups that pay through Employer OnLine will need to enter their credit card and/or banking information to make their initial payment in the new system. It can then be saved for future use. This is a security measure designed to protect employers’ financial information.

UPMC Health Plan will continue to accept payments via check or wire transfer from groups that choose not to remit using the online payment function.

We will continue to update you as we draw closer to implementing this new system.

*American Express will no longer be accepted by UPMC Health Plan. All credit card transactions will incur a merchant surcharge fee of 2.5 percent. This fee is subject to change as credit card vendors change their fees.
