OEP Is Coming Back for 2019
Effective Jan. 1, 2019, the OEP
election period will be available for Medicare beneficiaries. It will run from
January 1-March 31. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is
working through guidance on how the election period will run, including
marketing rules. We will provide more details when the final guidance is
released this summer.

plans) to participate in the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and
Systems (CAHPS) and Health Outcomes Survey (HOS) to evaluate their experience
with health care. While this survey doesn’t take place until spring, we want to
