Master Services Agreement (MSA) Update
Aetna and Innovation Health have updated their Funding Advantage MSAs. Changes to the MSA correct section references, add the Third Party Claim and Code Review Program, remove sunset program (Prescription Savings Program), update notice/termination change to 30 days' notice and clarify billing and payment, booklet and network access fee sections. Due to these updates, Aetna and Innovation Health will be sending the following:
- Amendments to AFA and IHFA customers with effective dates prior to 7/1/17 who are still active:
- The amendment will update their MSA effective 3/1/18 and will require a signature via AdobeSign. The amendment highlights the changes we made to the MSA, which are outlined above, and will go out to customers next week.
- New MSAs to AFA and IHFA customers who have 7/1/17 and later effective dates:
- Customers with 7/1/17 effective dates received an old version of the MSA. This new MSA would replace that version and will require a signature via AdobeSign. All customers that did not sign the old MSA were sent a MSA cancellation. They will now be receiving the new MSA for the first time and will need to sign via AdobeSign. These MSAs will go out to customers tomorrow.
- Customers with 8/1/17, 9/1/17 and 10/1/17 effective dates will also be required to sign the MSA via AdobeSign. These MSAs will go out to customers the last week of January.
New Billing and Banking Handbook
We’ve updated our AFA Billing and Banking Handbook. The handbook covers topics like billing timelines (including a new section on how the first bill works) and how to read your bill and banking set up. Attached is the new handbook. Please it share with your AFA clients.
