Wellness in the
New Year
People
with Medicare Part B can see their doctor for a "Welcome to
Medicare" preventive visit within the first 12 months of having
Part B and a yearly wellness visit if they've had Part B for longer
than 12 months. During these visits, they can create or update a
personalized plan to help prevent disease and disability based on
their current health and risk factors. For more information,
visit Medicare.gov/coverage/preventive-visit-and-yearly-wellness-exams.html.
