One Week Left for Open Enrollment |
The ACA’s fifth open-enrollment period for the federal marketplace closes next Friday. As a reminder, brokers who are not marketplace-certified can still take NAHU’s training program, which offers access our live help desk by phone or email to receive real-time assistance with technical questions, all for the low price of $57.99, which includes the opportunity to earn continuing education credits. And as agents and brokers assist their clients enrolling in coverage, we encourage you to take our poll on your experiences with the new Help-on-Demand feature that links consumers with brokers in their area. We are also seeking to hear your stories of the experiences for your clients obtaining coverage in the marketplaces during this open-enrollment season so that we can share them with appropriate policymakers as we seek improvements.
Plan year 2017 certifications expired on October 31 and all agents and brokers must complete plan year 2018 registration and training to be able to assist consumers enroll for the first time or re-enroll in coverage for plan year 2018. NAHU members are encouraged to become certified through NAHU’s federal marketplace agent and broker training program, the only program operated by an agent/broker association. Offered through NAHU’s Online Learning Institute, our course includes webinar modules, a final exam, the ability to access our live help desk by phone or email to receive real-time assistance with technical questions, and the opportunity to earn continuing education credits issued on a state-by-state basis.
