How to find network providers for MA/MAPD plans

Whenever possible, use our online directory tools, AetnaMedicare.com/findprovider and Coventry-Medicare.com/findprovider, which are updated 6 days a week. For your offline needs, provider directory PDFs are also available.

• You can find Aetna provider directory PDFs on Producer World (Individual Medicare page, Product tab); these directory PDFs are updated monthly.

• For Coventry provider directory PDFs, you can use the Coventry online directory, search for providers, and then choose the “print to PDF” option.

Enhancements to the Aetna provider directory tool

Next time you visit our online Aetna provider directory tool, you’ll see a few changes. Since network providers vary by plan, we’ve added a few extra steps to help you select the correct plan, before viewing network search results. Follow these basic steps.

Brokers and future members should confirm that a provider accepts a specific plan. Select “see accepted plans” next to the doctor’s name to confirm.

Current members should search for a provider using their secure member website. This provides results based on the plan they're enrolled in.

Enter a “city” and “state” on the provider search page instead of a zip code. Even better, start typing the name of the city and select the correct city and state from the drop down.

Spell out the state completely (e.g., Pennsylvania, not PA).

Enter a provider’s full first and last name. Don’t use:

• A first name if you’re unsure of the spelling (e.g., MaryAnn or Maryanne)

• Nicknames (e.g., Bill, Will)

Enter a provider’s name without credentials. Don’t include words like "Doctor," "Dr" or "MD."

Still having issues or getting error messages? Trying clearing your cache – this helps force your browser to retrieve new copy from the site.

• In most web browsers, you can clear the cache from the Privacy or History area in the Settings or Options menu.
