Introducing the Explorer feature for your traveling clients
With the new Explorer feature, members get great care, even when they’re away. This new feature is available on select Aetna PPO plans in AZ, CO, DE, FL, KY, MA, ME, NV, OH, PA and UT. It allows members to receive covered services from a network provider or pharmacy outside the plan's service area, and other travel-related benefits. Click here to download a brochure you can share with your clients. You’ll find FAQs plus a list of plans that offer Explorer on page 6.

NEW for 2018: MA/MAPD enrollment forms are plan-specific
This means each 2018 MA/MAPD enrollment form has a specific plan name pre-populated on it, and that it can only be used to enroll clients in that specific plan. As a result, no crossing out of plan names please.
DON'T |
DO |
If you run out of enrollment forms for a certain plan, you cannot take a different enrollment form, cross out the pre-populated plan name and write in the new plan name. This is not an acceptable practice.
|
Make sure you plan ahead for your formal, informal and one-on-one marketing/sales events and bring the appropriate number of enrollment kits with their associated enrollment forms.

New policy for handling duplicate applications
Effective October 1, 2017, we consider the Agent of Record (AOR) to be the writing agent on the first application we receive for a beneficiary for a specific plan during a valid Medicare election period.
If we receive additional applications for the same person and plan during the same election period, we consider them duplicates. Going forward, we will no longer process duplicate applications, nor will we update the AOR on file based on duplicate applications. Read more.
