NJ Small Group ACA Withdrawal Mailings

As we announced three weeks ago Aetna has made the decision to withdraw from New Jersey Individual ACA plans as of January 1, 2018. As a result, Aetna must withdraw from the Small Group ACA plans beginning with January 1, 2018 renewals.

We distributed Broker Briefing on May 12, 2017 describing the mailings your clients, their employees and you will receive as we begin to withdraw from the Small Group ACA plans.

Below you can download a generic copy of a letter you will receive via certified mail by July 1, 2017. Note that you will only get one letter from us, even if you service numerous customers with various 2018 renewal dates:
In addition, Plan Sponsors will also receive a letter via certified mail and their Employees will receive a letter via regular mail no later than 180 days prior to their 2018 renewal date. We have provided generic copies of those letters below.
We will send the Plan Sponsor and Employee letters on behalf of both legal entities, Aetna Health Inc and Aetna Life Insurance Company.

Your partnership is greatly appreciated.

If you have questions or would like additional information, please contact your Aetna representative.
