Great news! This great new offering addresses consumer interest in the plan and provides another great selling opportunity for authorized to offer agents. For a list of states that will be launching Plan G, please see the chart below.

Get to know Plan G!
The only difference between Plan F and G is that Plan G does not cover the Medicare Part B deductible. For 2017, the Medicare Part B deductible is $183. Also, in many cases, Plan G may have a lower priced premium than Plan F.

Guaranteed Issue and Underwriting for Plan G will be similar to that of other AARP Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans insured by UnitedHealthcare.

Learn more about the differences between Plan G and Plan F by clicking the following link: Plans F&G: Facts & Fiction Flyer.

Plan G will not be available for July 1, 2017, effective dates in the following states:  Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Texas, Vermont and Wisconsin.

New Enrollment Materials
Starting April 1, 2017, Enrollment Kits for plan effective dates of July 1, 2017, and later will become available for all states. These updated Enrollment Kits will include new materials such as new applications and rating and underwriting changes, as applicable in each state.

For those states where Plan G is available, the new Enrollment Kits will incorporate Plan G. Be sure to order a supply of the new kits on the Agents Materials Portal. Simply go to the Agent Distribution Portal > Product Information & Materials Tab > Sales Materials > and click on the link for the Agent Materials Portal.

It is important to note that two versions of the 2017 Enrollment Kits will be in circulation simultaneously. Enrollment Kits will be differentiated by graphics, dates and letter coloring (blue for effective dates 1/1-6/1, and orange for effective dates 7/1-12/1) on the front cover. It will be important to ensure you are using the correct enrollment kit based on the consumer's plan effective date.

New Producer Handbooks will also become available in the spring of 2017. Plan G information will be included for eligible states. The availability of state-specific Producer Handbooks will be communicated via the Focus News.
