Enrollment ends Wednesday, December 7th
With less than a week left to enroll, please take note of the enrollment application deadlines outlined below:
Online applications
- Online applications will be accepted through the Producer Portal until 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 7.
- Agents will be unable to submit online applications after midnight.
Paper applications
- All AEP paper applications for a Jan. 1, 2017 effective date must be completed, signed and dated no later than 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 7.
- The application date is the date the agent receives/accepts the enrollment request from the beneficiary. The CMS-required timeframe for enrollment processing begins on the application date.
- Agents should double-check the paper application to make sure there is no missing or incomplete information, as this can cause a delay in processing.
- Highmark will only accept paper applications via fax to 1-888-663-0258.
- After AEP ends, all paper applications must be faxed within 48 hours of receipt.
- Applications faxed after 48 hours are non-commissionable -- without exception. Applications cannot be back-dated. Please save the fax-confirmation pages for all applications.
- The member will still be eligible for coverage effective Jan. 1, 2017 if the application is received after 48 hours; however, the agent will not receive commission.
