Independence Blue Cross has released the new agent registration program. Please read the instructions and find the link available below.
2017 Independence's Agent Registration Program is available
Independence's 2017 Agent Registration emails will be sent to all producing agents we have on file. If you have any new agents that need to be appointed please send them the below instructions. The links will be for use immediately upon receipt, and replace those currently used by agents who wish to become appointed to sell Independence products.

To become certified to sell 2017 Independence Blue Cross Individual plans, please follow the steps outlined below.
Step 1: Log in using the link provided above.
Step 2: Enter your NPN as Username and "2017OEP" (case sensitive) as your temporary password.*
*Agents who have already registered for IBC Medicare should use the same profile and password they set up when completing Medicare certification. When they log in to their existing profile, they will see the commercial and ACA learning paths assigned in their dashboard.
Step 3: Complete your profile information and choose a permanent password, then hit "save". Carefully review that your information is correct as we use this information on member communications throughout the year
Step 4: You will land on your learner 'dashboard' with "Learning Paths" assigned to you. Click a Learning Path, then look for the green button that says "Start (or continue) this Course" and proceed through all required modules and testing.
Remember:
- You must become certified in order to sell and receive commission on any on exchange 2017 Independence Individual products, and you may not discuss our 2017 plans until your certification is complete.
- For Producing Agents, please make sure your default General Agency is showing correctly in the program. If it is not correct please contact your General Agency who will provide this information to Independence.
