Independence Blue Cross Consumer Broker Commissions -
Update

Good morning. Good News! Independence Blue
Cross has amended the initial announcement regarding individual
commission. Please see below.
IBC has now updated
their schedule to include a commission offering on new Individual
business for our two off-exchange only plans: Silver Proactive Value and HMO
Bronze. IBC will continue to offer
commissions on renewing individual business.
Please note that
"new business" membership is considered a member coming from
Aetna or United Healthcare and/or did not have an Independence plan in
2016. We understand that there has been some confusion on what is
consider New business.
