2016 SMALL GROUP ADVANCE OPTION

 

Small Group clients who are "Grandmothered" in their pre-ACA plans and are renewing with effective dates of July 1, 2016 through Nov. 1, 2016 have the ability to renew in their current month and take a short plan year and then select a renewal date of Dec. 1, 2016.


This FAQ sheet was developed to provide you with information regarding the 2016 Small Group Advance Option for you to use in discussions with your clients.  


You may also refer to, the Product Portfolio, of the available Grandmothered health plans, which you can also access on the Producer Portal. 


Rates for this option will be available in August for all regions when your December renewals are set for release.

BLUE EDGE DENTAL


 

Blue Edge Dental rates cards for new clients with effective dates of July 1, 2016 through Dec. 1, 2016, are now available on the Producer Portal through Plan Advisor 2.0, for Western PA and Central PA (for groups 2-50). 

 

You can now use Plan Advisor 2.0 for New to Blue quotes on Blue Edge Dental plans for Western PA and Central PA business. This includes all previous offerings and the new Value Suite.

 

Effective 7/1/2016, there will be four new Value Suite plan options available for you to offer new and existing clients. You can view the complete details for the new Value Suite plans, in Plan Advisor 2.0.

 

Also, effective 7/1/2016, a Pediatric Smart Savings Plus Rider will be available for ACA plans.

  • Provides a group that has embedded pediatric dental in their medical plan to receive a discount on their standalone dental plan
  • Removes duplicate coverage; coverage already embedded in medical carrier plan 
  • Reduces premiums and rates 


How does it work?

 

By purchasing a PPO dental plan with the Pediatric Smart Savings Plus Rider, it will allow a group the ability to cover members over the age of 19 and provide members under the age of 19 pediatric dental services without having to pay double for the preventive services.

INDIVIDUAL MARKET


 

CMS is hosting a webinar on Special Enrollment Periods (SEPs) on Wednesday, June 29.

 

CMS announced earlier this month that, starting June 18, those enrolling in coverage through five SEP categories will be asked to provide documents to prove their eligibility for which they qualify.

  • SEP Verification Process: Wednesday, June 29, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET
    • The purpose of this webinar is to provide more information on the new verification requirement, as well as information about how you can help your clients understand the requirement and submit documents if it applies to them.  

To register for a webinar complete the following steps (agents and brokers returning to REGTAP should start at step 3):

  1. If you are new to REGTAP, visit https://www.REGTAP.info and "Register as a New User." You will receive an email to confirm your account 
  2. Click on the link in the email to complete the process of creating a user account
  3. Log in to your account at https://www.REGTAP.info 
  4. Select "Training Events" from "My Dashboard." 
  5. Select the "View" icon next to the event title for the webinar you are interested in attending. 
  6. Select "Register Me."
