Important information about your commission payments

Dear GHP Broker Colleague:

I am writing to inform you of an important update to our commission payment schedule effective July 1, 2016. At that time, we will introduce a new, streamlined per subscriber per month (pspm) compensation plan. It is unique by specific market segment:  one schedule for the 2-50 small group segment and another one for the 51-99 mid-market segment. Please refer to this updated schedule which includes production requirements and payment levels.

As you know, our industry has experienced significant regulatory changes since 2014 which have affected our business model, especially with the individual and the small group markets. While the challenges have been many, we continue to adapt to this more restricted and volatile environment.

We are committed to achieving market growth in both the 2-50 small group segment and the 51-99 mid-market segment by providing competitive premium rates, responsive service and value-based product designs like GHP Extra, which optimize the member experience.

The impact from the revised commission schedule on earnings will vary by agency. Your first payment which includes the new schedule will be issued in August 2016. All business sold prior to July 1, 2016 will reflect the new payment rate.

Also, note that this change does not alter the established payment schedule of $25 per subscriber per month for the Geisinger Health Plan (GHP) small group level-funded TPA product, which is offered to employers with 25-99 enrolled subscribers.
