TRAINING AND MATERIALS NOW AVAILABLE FOR ALLIANCE FLEX BLUE

Training and materials for Alliance Flex Blue, Highmark's recently released product in central PA (see initial Sept. 16, 2015 announcement), are now available.

Alliance Flex Blue is a tiered benefit plan design that gives employees patient-centered care at significant cost savings when they choose providers within the Penn State Health and PinnacleHealth Systems.

Alliance Flex Blue offers two levels of in-network benefits:

Enhanced Value Level of Benefits

Members choosing services from providers and facilities participating in this level will have the lowest out-of-pocket costs, which include the deductible, copay and coinsurance.
PinnacleHealth Systems, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Health St. Joseph participate in the network at this level.
Emergency care is always covered at the Enhanced Value Level of Benefits. Similarly, behavioral health and preventive services are covered at this level, when received from any in-network provider.

Standard Value Level of Benefits

Members have low-to-moderate out-of-pocket costs. Carlisle Regional Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Holy Spirit Hospital, Reading Hospital, The Surgical Institute of Reading and other hospitals participate in the network at this level.

Members are encouraged to seek care from the nationally acclaimed providers associated with the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Penn State Health St. Joseph, Pinnacle Health System, and other local providers participating at the Enhanced Value Level of Benefits. They offer top-quality care that is focused on prevention and health improvement, through state-of-the-art facilities, physicians and hospitals.
