VALIDATING COMPLETION OF THE 2016 FFM TRAINING


In a change from 2015, producers completing the FFM training for 2016 do not need to provide or upload a training certification to Highmark; however, all producers must complete the 2016 registration and program through the Sales Sentinel website. 

 

Note: producers must use the 2016 link provided below for Sales Sentinel, not a link from a previous year. 

 

Once the FFM training is completed through one of the channels below:

  • CMS' Medicare Learning Management System (MLMS)
    • Register/log in on the 2016 Sales Sentinel site
    • Complete the steps on Sales Sentinel, through the Marketplace selection
    • Once you have selected "Save and Close" for your Marketplace selection, you do not need to take further action.
      • You will see a screen referring to whether or not Sales Sentinel has record of your completing the FFM training. 
      • CMS will send a list to Sales Sentinel every few weeks of those who have taken the training. Thus, many producers will see "Try Again" at the bottom of this screen, if the information has not yet come in from CMS. You will receive an email from Sales Sentinel once they have validated with CMS that you have completed the training.
  • An approved CMS vendor
    • You will receive a validation code from the vendor that you completed the training. If not, you can log back in to the vendor through the CMS Enterprise Portal (https://portal.cms.gov) after 24 hours of taking the training, to get your validation code.
    • You will need to enter this validation code on the CMS Enterprise Portal to validate you have completed the training with a vendor. 
    • Register/log in on the 2016 Sales Sentinel site 
    • Complete the steps on Sales Sentinel, through the Marketplace selection
    • Once you have selected "Save and Close" for your Marketplace selection, you do not need to take further action.
