What do you love most about personal training? When a client discovers they have the intrinsic ability to strength train, master their form, and above all, enjoy movement. When this happens, the smile on my face is larger than life!
What advice do you always give your clients? Do what you love for movement, not what is trending.
What advice would you never give? Equating exercise with weight loss. I love this quote: “You cannot out-exercise a bad diet.”
What is one of the biggest misconceptions that you hear in your work? The belief that we do not have control over our health. We have 70 percent control of what may happen to our bodies. To me, that is a winning percentage to rock a healthy lifestyle!
What is your secret weapon? Endurance and fun!
What is your favorite way to get active? Indoor cycling (or as I like to say, “Dancing with the Bike”) and dancing in general.
What are your least favorite activities? Running! I even get anxiety when I see people running for their lives in horror movies.
What are good ways for people in Central PA and the Lehigh Valley to get active outdoors? We live in a literal playground: trails, races, and activity clubs galore to enjoy solo or as part of a community.
