Review what you’ll need to do to become “ready to sell” our 2016 Individual Medicare products (MA/MAPD, PDP)

To become “ready to sell” our 2016 Aetna and Coventry Individual MA/MAPD and PDP products and receive commissions, you’ll need to complete several requirements prior to marketing or selling:

  1. CERTIFICATION: You’ll need to successfully complete the 2016 Aetna Individual Medicare annual certification process. -- Available starting July 10.
  2. CONTRACTING:
    • New agents: Agents who haven’t contracted with us to sell our Individual Medicare products before must complete and submit a 2016 contract package online through our nomoreforms contracting site. 2016 contracting will begin in August.
    • Existing agents: Agents who are currently contracted and ready-to-sell for 2015 do not need to re-contract unless they are changing hierarchy or contract level.
      • If you need to change hierarchy or contract level, you’ll need to request those changes in nomoreforms. You'll need to use the new Scope of Submission form.
  3. LICENSING AND APPOINTMENT: You’ll need to be properly licensed in states where you sell. You’ll also need to be properly appointed by Aetna for all products you intend to sell. New agents will also need to pass a background check.
  4. RECEIVE A READY-TO-SELL NOTICE: You’ll receive a ready-to-sell notice confirming your ready-to-sell status. It will list out the specific states and products that you’re ready to sell and for which you can receive commissions. You’ll receive separate ready-to-sell notices for Aetna and Coventry Medicare products.

Are you an upline, principal or payee? If so, to become ready to sell our 2016 Individual MA/MAPD and PDP products, you’ll need to be fully certified, licensed and properly appointed in ALL states and markets where your downline agents or employees intend to sell.

Enhancements to our Medicare contracting process are underway! Review recent form updates

Based on your feedback, we’re making enhancements to the Aetna Medicare contracting site, nomoreforms. As a first step, we’ve streamlined some of our contracting forms to make the contracting process easier and faster.

What’s new and how does it benefit you?

  1. The W9 and EFT are now one form. Some fields on this form will auto-populate, to help save you time.
  2. In addition, some fields other forms, such as the Contract Information Sheet, Establishment of LOA form, and Hierarchy Sheet, will auto-populate based on your responses, to save you time
  3. We added instructions to some forms to clarify what you need to do. For example, on the Contract Information Sheet, we added wording to clarify that agents and agencies must licenses in all states where they are requesting appointment.

Certification site will be temporarily unavailable on July 8-9

Please note: Our certification site will be unavailable for two days next week (July 8-9) while we make updates. 2015 and 2016 certification will be available on July 10.
