Important: Correction to the Delta Medix Specialist List

A Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania eblast was sent to you Friday, April 24, advising that a number of doctors associated with Delta Medix had decided to end their contract with First Priority Health® and First Priority Life Insurance Company® effective June 2, 2015.

While the content of the message and member letters included in the eblast were valid, the list of doctors was incorrect. The list was replaced earlier today, so if you click on the link in Friday's message, you will now see the accurate list of terminating doctors. For your convenience, you can also access the list here.

A corrected list is being sent to members who received the original mailing.

Important notice: Delta Medix is no longer participating

Despite efforts to reach an agreement with Delta Medix, these physicians have decided to end their contract with First Priority Health® and First Priority Life Insurance Company® effective June 2, 2015.

This means, starting June 2, Delta Medix's specialist physicians will no longer participate with the networks serving our First Priority Health and First Priority Life Insurance Company health insurance plans.

Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania is sending letters to all First Priority Health and First Priority Life members who received care from any Delta Medix doctor within the last 12 months, including those currently receiving care, to notify them of this change. To view the letters, click here.

Employers are also being notified of the change and will receive copies of the letters being sent to their employees. To view the employer notification, click here.
